Personal Thoughts:

I’ve heard that the manga is quite good, so I have high hopes for the anime.  I’ve included a youtube link from someone who posted some chapters. It’s rough, but it gives you an idea of flow. I’m a little confused because the anime series seems to have a decidedly more military feel than the manga descriptions. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.

Volume #7 of the manga series will be released 9/26/2008 and a side-story book as well on the same date.

Update: I watched the first episode and I think I’m going to like this series! ^_^ The end of the first episode will have you wondering how they’re going to continue in episode 2. Action sequences are good, characters are interesting, and the animation is good. Storyline seems intense so far. Ironically, the first battle reminded me a lot of Bubblegum Crisis… I wonder if that was on purpose. ^_^ I’m on board with this series!
