The TV series will start broadcasting in October.

According to Dengeki.com, in a recent article about To Aru Kagaku no Railgun (とある科学の超電磁砲（レールガン） (A Certain Scientific Railgun): The main character will be Misaka Mikoto, who was a character in To Aru Majutsu no Index (とある魔術の禁書目録（インデックス）, (A Certain Magical Index). The series is based on the manga by Fuyukawa Motoi which is based on the original work by Kamachi Kazuma.

This particular article mainly discusses the cast and staff of the series. The director of the series is Nagai Tatsuyuki who worked on Tora Dora! and the character designs are done by Tanaka Yuuichi, who did the designs for Magical Index. Satou Rina will reprise her role as Misaka, and Arai Satomi and Abe Atsushi will also play the same roles they had in Magical.

The August issue of Dengeki Daiou will contain character sketches and Rondo Robe, Geneon’s mobile site, will have information about the series from time to time.
